Vinay Subramanyam succeeds Nitin Saini as VP - Marketing, India at Mondelēz International
Mondelēz International has appointed Vinay Subramanyam as Vice President of Marketing for India. He will succeed Nitin Saini , who has been elevated to a regional role as General Manager, Indonesia, in Southeast Asia. Subramanyam joins Mondelēz India with more than two decades of experience in the consumer goods sector. He was previously head of marketing for South Asia at Kellanova, now Mars Snacking, and was part of its AMEA Commercial Leadership Team. He has also held marketing and leadership roles at Pidilite Industries, Britannia Industries and VIP Industries. He began his career in sales and has led cross-functional teams across different categories and markets. Commenting on the appointment, Samir Jain , President, Mondelēz India, said, “We are delighted to welcome Vinay to Mondelēz International. He brings a strong track record of building brands, driving category growth, leading innovation and developing high-performing teams across some of the industry’s most respected consumer companies. We wish him continued success in this exciting new chapter in the region.” At Kellanova, Subramanyam was responsible for category growth, strategic business initiatives and brand and marketing activities across South Asia. Before that, he led marketing functions at Pidilite Industries and Britannia Industries. Subramanyam has been featured in Business World’s Top 50 Marketers and Impact’s Top 100 Marketers lists. He holds a master’s degree in management from MICA, Ahmedabad, and a graduate degree in business management from Bharathiar University, Tamil Nadu. Before his most recent role as VP - Mondelez India, Saini has held several marketing and sales roles at the company, including leading the Cadbury Dairy Milk and Silk portfolio and overseeing customer marketing across categories. He later led chocolate category marketing for India and Southeast Asia before taking on global responsibility for the Oreo brand and subsequently serving as vice president of Oreo in the US. In his India role, he oversaw the company’s brand portfolio, as well as insights and analytics, media, and digital functions.
