Vasai-Virar bus services came to a halt after drivers and conductors launched a sudden strike over receiving only half their monthly wages despite working full-time. The disruption has affected 60,000–65,000 daily passengers, including shoppers, students and officegoers, just ahead of Ganeshotsav. Officials are trying to resolve the wage dispute and restore services.
