Uttarakhand's Solar Self-Employment Initiative Boosts Local Economy
Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme (MSSY) to connect local youth with self-employment opportunities in the solar energy sector. This initiative aims to enhance entrepreneurship, promote green energy, and address migration issues in hilly areas. With a target of establishing solar power plants with a capacity of 210 MW by June 2026, the scheme has already created jobs for over 3,500 individuals. The project is not only about generating solar power but also focuses on boosting self-employment and entrepreneurship in rural regions, making a significant impact on the local economy.
