Union HM Amit Shah Sets 2029 Target For UCC Rollout Across 21 BJP, NDA-Ruled States

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that he expects the Uniform Civil Code to be implemented in all 21 BJP and NDA-ruled states before 2029. Speaking in Mumbai, Shah said several states had already moved towards the UCC. Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Assam have taken steps, while other states including Maharashtra are preparing draft legislation.
