Three men die of suffocation inside latrine tank in Odisha’s Rayagada
Three men died after allegedly suffocating inside a newly constructed latrine tank in Padmapur of Rayagada district, triggering shock in the locality. The incident occurred while the three were engaged in removing centring material from inside the newly built tank. According to preliminary information, one person entered the tank first and reportedly experienced breathing difficulty. Death Waiting During Work The others then went inside one after another, apparently in an attempt to help, but all three allegedly lost consciousness inside the confined space. After being informed about the incident, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. All three men were brought out of the tank and shifted to the Padmapur Community Health Centre for treatment. However, doctors at the health facility declared all three dead. The deceased have been identified as Harishchandra Bir, Alok Karada and Prakash Lima. Further Investigation On The exact cause of the deaths is yet to be officially established.
