Punjab panel backs 60% DA for post-2020 recruits; around 85,000 employees may benefit

Around 85,000 Punjab government employees appointed on central pay scales could get dearness allowance at 60%, up from the 42% now applied to their salaries, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said, after a ministerial panel backed a proposal to end an anomaly dating back to a 2020 recruitment decision.
