Over 57,000 new UANs in FY26, 35% from 21-25 age group: Report

The country's formal workforce is getting younger, with 79% of more than 57,000 new Universal Account Numbers (UAN) generated in FY26 belonging to workers aged 18-30, signalling a generational shift in how jobs are being created in the organised sector. Of this, the 21–25 age group accounted for over 35% of all new UANs, according to staffing and workforce solutions company Quess Corp.
