Omar Reaffirms Fight for J&K Statehood, Constitutional Guarantees on Independence Day

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, addressing the 80th Independence Day function at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, reiterated his government's commitment to restoring the Union Territory's statehood and constitutional guarantees. He also stressed development, employment, federalism, transparency in recruitment and strengthening public trust, while paying tribute to the martyrs and recalling J&K's contribution to defending the region in 1947.
