Mahindra Group appoints Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer

New Delhi: Mahindra Group announced the appointment of Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026. Arya will also become part of the Senior Management of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and join the Group Executive Board. She will report to Anish Shah, Group CEO and MD, Mahindra Group. In the new role, Arya will lead the Group Strategy Office and work across Mahindra's portfolio of businesses on growth opportunities, value creation and long-term strategy. I wish her the very best in this key leadership role.” Arya joined Mahindra after more than 23 years across listed multinational companies and management consulting, with experience spanning the automotive, travel, financial services and telecom sectors. Before joining Mahindra, she served as Managing Director of Cummins India. In that role, she was responsible for the company's growth, customer operations, talent development and workplace culture. Prior to Cummins India, Arya led Strategy and M&A at Thomas Cook India and held roles at Kearney and Infosys. She holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a bachelor's degree in Information Technology engineering from Delhi University. Arya was also the programme sponsor for a Cummins initiative focused on girls and women in India.
