Ladakh Buddhist Leaders Differ Over MHA Talks as Sonam Wangchuk Warns of Fresh Agitation

Differences have emerged among Ladakh's Buddhist leadership over the outcome of the September 9 meeting with the Union Home Ministry. While veteran leader Thupstan Chhewang termed the talks fruitful and pointed to progress on constitutional safeguards, Sonam Wangchuk maintained that there had been no movement on the core demands and warned of a fresh padyatra from September 19 to 24.
