Issuer banks to get 40%, merchant acquirers 30%, UPI apps to get 20% of the UPI MDR revenue

NPCI has made some crucial exemptions for services like telecom, railways, fuel and insurance categories to protect consumers from any impact. The MDR for these services has been fixed at a flat fee of Rs 5 per transaction.
