Guwahati: Bike Rider Dies After Colliding With Truck at Lokhra

A bike rider was killed on the spot in a road accident at Lokhra in Guwahati on Friday, after his motorcycle allegedly collided with a truck that was taking a U-turn on the national highway. The identity of the deceased rider has not been ascertained so far, police said. According to the information available, the motorcycle , bearing registration number AS 01 FM 7482, was travelling from Jalukbari towards Khanapara when the accident occurred. The truck, bearing registration number AS 01 RC 2141, was also travelling on the same route. The accident reportedly took place when the truck attempted to take a U-turn in the middle of the national highway. The bike rider allegedly lost control and crashed into the truck at high speed, resulting in fatal injuries. The impact was severe, and the rider died on the spot. Following the accident, Garachuk Police reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
