Election Commission meets rival Trinamool Congress factions ahead of West Bengal bypolls

The Election Commission met rival Trinamool Congress factions led by Mamata Banerjee and Ritabrata Banerjee over competing claims to the party name and symbol ahead of Assembly bypolls in Nandigram and Rejinagar. The EC may freeze the symbol as it did during the Shiv Sena split.
