ED, NCB uncover ‘three-tier network’ aiding smuggling of areca nuts from Myanmar into India

A “three-tier network” is aiding in the smuggling of areca nuts through open stretches of India’s border with Myanmar via Mizoram and transporting them to buyers in the rest of India via Assam, separate investigations by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have revealed.
