Cauvery Water Row Intensifies, Karnataka Organisations Call Statewide Bandh on August 13

The bandh comes after the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) directed Karnataka to release 12,000 cusecs of water daily to Tamil Nadu for 15 days from August 12. Vatal Nagaraj, convenor of Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha, said that the bandh would be observed at any cost, and urged people to support their strike.
