Bengal renames flagship girls’ cash transfer scheme ‘Kanyashree’ as ‘Kanyaratna’

The chief minister said schoolgirls would receive a one-time financial assistance of Rs 1,000 this year, while the amount would be doubled to Rs 2,000 annually from the 2027 academic year.
