Ahmedabad anti-begging drive: 89 adults, 72 children rescued across city

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), police and Gujarat government’s Social Security Department rescued 89 adults and 72 children during a special anti-begging drive conducted across the city on Wednesday. The joint drive was carried out by the AMC’s Urban Community Development (UCD) Department, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and the Social Security Department at various begging hotspots across all AMC zones.
