A Magical Change Of Course: Harry Potter Fans Force Relocation Of £430m Undersea Cable To Avoid Dobby’s ‘Grave’

A £430-million power cable project was rerouted to avoid Dobby’s unofficial “grave” at Freshwater West beach in Wales after Harry Potter fans objected. Greenlink project manager Simon Ludlam said hundreds contacted the project after learning its planned cable route crossed the memorial. Planners subsequently found another route around the site, which appeared in the Harry Potter films.
