Vi eyes 35,000-crore loan to fund next decade's capex

Vodafone Idea is arranging a significant loan to fund its capital expenditures. State Bank of India has approved a substantial portion of this ₹35,000-crore term loan. Other public and private sector banks are expected to join the lending consortium soon. The company needs ₹60,000 crore for service upgrades, with the balance from internal accruals. Kumar Mangalam Birla's continued chairmanship is a condition for this long-term financing.
