Telangana HC declares September 25 holiday for Ganesh immersion

The holiday will also [...] <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>HYDERABAD: </strong>The Telangana High Court has declared a holiday on September 25, 2026, on account of the Ganesh idols immersion procession.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The holiday will apply to the High Court and courts in and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, as well as courts in Medchal-Malkajgiri and Ranga Reddy districts.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The holiday will also apply to the offices of the Telangana State Judicial Academy, Secunderabad; Telangana State Legal Services Authority, Hyderabad; High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad; and Mediation and Arbitration Centre, Hyderabad.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">In a notification dated September 22, 2026, the High Court said the decision was issued in partial modification of its earlier notifications dated December 11, 2025.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The High Court has declared <strong>December 5, 2026 (Saturday)</strong> as a working day for the High Court in lieu of the holiday.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The notification, issued as Notification No. 26/50/2026 under ROC No. 2083/SO/2025, was signed by the Registrar General.</p> Copies of the notification were sent to the Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, personal secretaries to the judges, all registrars of the High Court, the Sessions Judge, Hyderabad, and the chief judges of the City Civil Court and City Small Causes Court, Hyderabad.
