RBI Absorbs ₹25,000 Crore Banking System Liquidity Through Second OMO Bond Sale Amid Surplus Funds
The RBI accepted bids worth ₹25,000 crore in the second tranche of its OMO sale of government securities to absorb surplus banking liquidity. The central bank accepted bids across five securities, while rejecting offers for one bond. RBI data showed liquidity surplus at around ₹6.05 lakh crore on September 20 amid foreign deposits and government spending.
