Putin Puts Japan on Notice Over US Tomahawks; Typhon Deployment Threatens Russia’s Far East

Russia has warned Japan of “compensatory countermeasures” over the deployment of America’s Typhon missile system, which can launch Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of roughly 1,600 kilometres. Although introduced for military exercises, the launchers are reportedly expected to remain inside Japan and move to another U.S. base. Moscow says the deployment threatens Russia’s security and accelerates Japan’s transformation into a long-range military power. Watch.
