OBC Community Objects To Absence Of Separate Category In Caste Census Gazette; National OBC Federation Warns Of Protest

The National OBC Federation has criticised the Centre for not clearly providing a separate OBC category in the 2026 Census Gazette. Federation leader Eknath Taramale demanded transparent caste-wise enumeration, stressing the need for reliable OBC data. He warned of a major Ramlila Maidan protest during Parliament’s Winter Session and a possible nationwide agitation.
