'Not an encounter, killing of three Tamils', Joseph Vijay furious over the death of hunters in Karnataka; Demand for fair investigation
The controversy has deepened after the shooting death of three suspected poachers in Karnataka's Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has demanded an impartial investigation, calling it not an encounter but a murder. Whereas Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar, defending the action of the Forest Department, has ordered a magisterial inquiry. The opposition has also raised the demand for a judicial inquiry into the incident.
