NCLT, NCLAT Are Government’s ‘Lifeline’, Need Basic Facilities: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Monday flagged infrastructure and staff shortages at NCLT benches across India, saying tribunals handling disputes worth thousands of crore need basic facilities to function effectively, Live Law and Bar & Bench reported. The Court was hearing a suo motu case on NCLT appointments and infrastructure issues and directed the Centre to file a status report.
