Mumbai: 10 Arrested For Duping Student Of ₹16 Lakh On Pretext Of Promising Engineering College Admission; Assets Worth ₹1.35 Crore Seized

Mumbai Police arrested 10 people in an alleged college admission fraud racket after a student was reportedly cheated of Rs 16 lakh for an engineering seat, DCP Datta Nalawade said. The group allegedly used paid social media advertisements and took students to private university campuses while promising admissions through NRI or management quotas. Police seized 22 phones and other articles.
