MNRE Mandates Storing Inverter Data of PM Surya Ghar Projects in India

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has directed inverter manufacturers supplying rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana to ensure that inverter-level data and associated monitoring and control servers are located exclusively within India.The Ministry said inverter original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and manufacturers must provide written confirmation of compliance to REC, with a copy to MNRE, within 30 days.
