Mangaluru railway network to shift to South Western Railway from October 1

The Railway Board on Friday approved the long-pending demand to transfer the Mangalore area railway network from the Southern Railway (SR) zone to the South Western Railway (SWR) zone, a move aimed at improving coordination and infrastructure development in coastal Karnataka.
