Karnataka CID arrests IAS officer in recruitment scam case

The IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar was arrested by the criminal investigation department on Sunday, due to his involvement in the Karnataka Public Service Commission recruitment scandal concerning veterinary officers. Formerly the examination controller at the MSME directorate, Gangwar faced extensive scrutiny, with the enforcement directorate also raiding his residence. Following this, he was brought before a magistrate and placed under judicial custody.
