IIT Bombay suicide: Efforts on to access Sahil's phone

Police are investigating the alleged suicide of IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode, recording statements from 20 individuals and attempting to access his locked mobile phone. His parents allege caste discrimination and staged a hunger strike, while Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has called for a thorough investigation. The institute had initially claimed Wakode was caught using ChatGPT during an exam, a claim they later apologised for. A faculty member named in the FIR has been sent on leave.
