IIT Bombay postpones mid-semester exams to October 10, 11 after student’s death

IIT Bombay has postponed its mid-semester exams from September 26 and 27 to October 10 and 11, following the tragic death of Sahil Wakode, a second-year student. The event ignited student protests over both the examination protocols and the circumstances of his passing. In response, a high-level committee will probe the incident, while the institute is also contemplating revisions to its hostel policies for improved student welfare.
