HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan Opts Out of Reappointment, To Retire in October

HDFC Bank MD and CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan has opted out of reappointment and will retire on October 26. The board is now moving to fast-track the search for his successor. 'The board deeply appreciated his commitment, leadership, contribution to the growth and stability of the Bank and his role in successful completion of one of the largest mergers in corporate India,' the private lender said in a regulatory filing.
