Election Commission row: Shiv Khera backs petition against CEC Gyanesh Kumar, calls for inquiry

Author and educator Shiv Khera has backed a Supreme Court petition seeking an inquiry into Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities linked to the electoral roll revision. The plea seeks an SIT probe into the deletion of 13 crore names and action over decisions allegedly taken without the concurrence of other election commissioners. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Khera questioned the Election Commission's response, supported an inquiry or prosecution, and raised concerns about judicial accountability. He also said prolonged public grievances could lead to anger and protests.
