BJP’s Makarand Narwekar Urges BMC To Shift Lion Gate ‘Aspirational Toilet’ Underground

Narwekar said the Lion Gate toilet was built on space meant for pedestrians and urged Commissioner Ashwini Bhide to consider an underground alternative. He said the earlier proposal for a 0.9- to 1.5-metre footpath was never implemented. The demand comes amid scrutiny of Mumbai’s Aspirational Toilet project, on which construction was stayed pending an inquiry.
