According to the complaint, Manikanta claims that ED officials assaulted him. He stated that he had personal financial transactions with Vallu Sandeep, an accused in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam, and that he was summoned for questioning in connection with transactions related to a land deal. Manikanta alleged that he was coerced into providing a statement against senior YSRCP leader and former civil supplies minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao, as well as the latter's son, Karumuri Sunil. He expressed distress over being linked to individuals accused in the liquor scam. He voiced concerns regarding a threat to his life and the lives of his family members and requested the police to provide protection for himself and his family. ]]>
