Air India has reportedly sought around USD 1.5 billion in fresh equity from Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines as mounting losses add pressure to its turnaround plans. The airline and Air India Express posted combined losses of USD 2.33 billion in FY2026, while fleet upgrades and operational challenges continue to weigh on finances.
